buy armor?
A citizen can buy body armor in California? And Colorado? I heard that some states have forbidden, and California is really liberal, so I'm not sure. Colorado, I think you can, but again, not sure. It can only be purchased online? And finally, if so, Is there a limit to what u can buy armor class one of them? (Class I, II, III, III, IV)
I found this line in California: 12,370. (A) Anyone who has been convicted of a violent crime as defined in subsection (C) Section 667.5 under the laws of the United States, the State of California or any other state government or a country that buying has or has armor, as defined in Section 942 of Title 11 California Code of Regulations, not authorized by subdivision (b) is guilty of a crime punishable by imprisonment in jail for 16 months or two or three years. (B) Any person whose relationship work, livelihood, or safety depends on the ability to legally possess and use weapons of the body that is subject to the prohibition imposed by subsection (A) due to a conviction for a violent crime before you can file a complaint with the police chief or county sheriff's jurisdiction in which he or she seeks to possess and use melee weapons to an exception to this prohibition. The police chief or sheriff can reduce or eliminate the prohibition, impose conditions on the reduction or elimination the prohibition or exemption from the prohibition as he or she deems appropriate, the following criteria: (1) A finding that the applicant is likely to use guns safely and legally. (2) That the applicant has a reasonable need for protection in the circumstances. In making its decision, the police chief or the sheriff must review the applicant employment continued, the interests of justice, the relevant evidence and all circumstances. It is the intent of the Legislature that those responsible of exercise wide discretion in fashioning appropriate relief under this subsection in cases where relief is warranted. However, nothing in this paragraph shall be construed to require law enforcement officials to exempt candidates in particular. The relief from this prohibition shall not release any other person or entity any responsibility that might otherwise be imposed. (C) The police chief or sheriff as a condition for granting an exemption under subsection (b) the applicant agrees to keep on their person a certified copy of the authorization of the official request the right to possess and use body armor, including conditions or restrictions. (D) The police officers who enforce the prohibition under subsection (a) against a person who has received assistance under subsection (b) are immune from liability for unlawful detention resulting from the illegality in this section unless the person has in his possession a copy of a certified copy of the authorization granted relief from the prohibition, as required by subsection (c). This immunity from liability does not exempt any person, entity or any other liability which might otherwise be imposed. (E) For purposes of this section only, "violent crime" refers to the specific crimes listed in Subsection (c) of section 667.5, and the crimes defined in the laws of the United States or any state government or a country that is reasonably equivalent the offenses listed in subsection (c) of Article 667.5.
